About the Center for American Civics
The Center for American Civics is a non-partisan outreach center under the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership that aims to support civic education at all levels within and beyond the classroom environment. We support scholars, teachers, and students in their efforts to understand and improve American political society. We are nonpartisan and inter-ideological, focused on pursuing knowledge and practicing truth as common goods for American politics and culture.
(The Center for American Civics was formerly known as the Center for Political Thought and Leadership and merged with the Joe Foss Institute in 2019).
Who we are:
The Center for American Civics is ever-growing and is comprised of like-minded individuals searching for ways to spread civic education and ongoing learning at every stage of life.
