Upcoming Educator Events
We are excited to offer a series of engaging and impactful events for educators dedicated to civic education. These opportunities will provide valuable professional development in content and pedagogy, and collaborative discussions on civic education in Arizona.
From 2026-2028, we will be offering workshops in the Phoenix metro area, Tucson, Flagstaff, Show Low, and Lake Havasu!
Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Flinn Foundation (Phoenix) - American Institutions I and II
Join ASU SCETL Professor Sean Beienburg for a two-part workshop exploring some of America’s core political institutions: federalism, separation of powers, and judicial review. Designed especially for Arizona K-12 educators, this workshop series will help deepen content knowledge and strengthen civic education in the classroom.
Because Institutions 2 builds directly on Institutions 1, participants must attend Institutions 1 in order to participate in Institutions 2. Educators are encouraged to register for both sessions to get the full experience.
